Peaceful Precautions- Armond

Olivine sat ready to order the bridge down for when Armond arrived. She had invited him to discuss a treaty, even though the lands were at peace, as a guarantee of said peace. She watched the waves of the small, pale white lake that surrounded the castle. It was mesmerizing to her, the soft, fluent, ever-continuing movement of the lake.


But that is not important now. She looked up to see whether or not Armond had arrived yet.

Armond arrived, alone. He thought it best not to bring any guards, as a sign of peace. Also, in light of the new information Artreyu had revealed, he thought it safer. He was quite tired after travelling. He looked at the lake, and was slightly intimidated by it. He didn't like the idea of being surrounded by deadly water. But hey, it wasn't his castle. He consoled himself with the fact that he would be able to cross the moat if he wanted too, but decided that would be rather disrespectful to the young queen. So he rejected the notion. Instead he opted to wait, until the drawbridge lowered.

Olivine gazed out the window once again. Armond! She ordered the drawbridge to be lowered, and then went to greet him at the end of the bridge.

The beautiful wooden bridge came down on the lake. Armond was now allowed passage.

The king walked down the drawbridge, and arrived at the giant castle. He was slightly...wary given what happened in the meeting with Atreyu. Even so, he considered Olivine his friend. And he was as courteous as ever. He bowed as he approached Olive, and he stopped in front of her. "Your grace, I am as pleased too see you as ever."

"Thank you, Armond, but you don't have to go that far, we've know each other forever." She motioned for him to enter. They walked throughout the castle until they reached a sitting room. She pointed to a chair, "Please, sit down. Do you want something to eat or drink?"

The king loosened up once t hey got to the sitting room. And he noticeably relaxed. "No, thank you. I've been drinking far too much with Atreyu, so I don't think I should have any more. Speaking of which, we have a problem. A gargantuan one, in fact." He plonked himself down into a chair, his face stern. "Atreyu is now leading the Czigus. And he is hostile. Very hostile indeed. I don't know what he plans to do, but it's clear we must do something to stop him."
